Important Notice for Our U.S. Customers Starting in October, the new Trump Tariffs have taken effect, and fishing tackle products are now subject to about 4.5% import duty.
To make things easier for our customers, since October we have been collecting a 4.5% handling fee at checkout and paying the import duties directly to FedEx on behalf of our U.S. customers.
However, in November we began receiving the actual duty invoices from FedEx, and to our surprise, the amounts charged are close to 15% of the product value — far higher than expected.
We are currently in contact with FedEx to understand how this 15% is being calculated.
At the moment, we are covering the difference ourselves, but this situation is unsustainable.
If this continues, all U.S. orders would end up being at a loss.
Therefore, please note that we may have to increase the handling fee for U.S. orders in the near future.

Notice: U.S. Customs Duty Handling Policy (Effective November 6, 2025) As of August 29, 2025, the United States eliminated the de minimis exemption that previously allowed duty-free entry of shipments under USD 800. From that date, all imports to the U.S. have become subject to customs duties.
To accommodate this policy change, our store has implemented a new system starting November 6, 2025 (JST).
A 4.5% customs handling fee is now automatically applied to all U.S. orders, and we pay the import duties on your behalf.
This system ensures:
● No hassle for customers — you no longer need to handle customs duty payments yourself.
● Faster and smoother delivery — no delays at customs caused by duty payment procedures.
● No failed deliveries — no risk of returns due to unpaid duties.
● Clear cost — the total amount is shown at checkout, with no surprise charges later.
Notice: Change of Email Address We will change our email address for international communication.
The domain will change from overseas@bass.co.jp to overseas@troutshop.jp.
This is because some Gmail users could not receive our emails.
You can still send emails to overseas@bass.co.jp as before.
But we recommend using the new address: overseas@troutshop.jp.
